Youth Ministry

The youth ministry at Bethesda exists to expose teens to God's love so that they can accept, respond to and act on that love!  We do that in a variety of ways! Scroll down to find out more!

Splash - 7th & 8th

Splash is our ministry for our Jr. High students. They meet every Wednesday night from 6:30-8 pm!  We have dedicated leaders who are passionate about helping your Jr. High student hear about God's love and how that intersects with their lives.  We always spend some time in worship, opening up God's Word, reading a missionary story & playing fun games!  Contact Pastor Anthony if you have any questions.

Souled Out - High School

Souled Out is our high school ministry at Bethesda Church!  We meet every Sunday night starting at 6:16!  We begin every night with supper together.  Most nights will include game time, worship & a Bible study.  Sometimes we break into small groups to discuss what we learned. Every 4th Sunday of the month we meet in small groups to worship, pray & get to know one another on a deeper level!

Other Youth Events

  • Annual youth conference

    Every year in early November we take our teens to CDYC (Central District Youth Conference).  It is a youth conference hosted by the district of our denomination.  It is always a good time to get away from our "normal" life and be challenged by God to evaluate our relationship to Him!

  • Journey

    Journey events are area wide youth worship events that happen about 4 times a year.  Several churches in our community come together to plan an evening with a fun activity (bowling, ice skating, black light dodgeball, etc.) and an extended worship time with a short devotional.  We hope these events are opportunities for our teens to see that God is working outside of their church/school circles!

  • Missions trips

    We try to do a missions trip every summer that our youth are encouraged to go on.  In the past years we have done multiple trips to inner city Chicago, overseas trips to Japan & Thailand as well as a "local" trip to the Porcupine Reservation here in SD!  These trips are important for teens to get out of their comfort zone, rely on God & stretch their faith! 

  • Camp

    We are very blessed to have a great Christian summer camp just 20 miles north of Huron!  We do our best to encourage our teens to go to Byron Bible Camp!  They have camps for kids from 3rd grade through high school. They also offer a backpacking trip & a water sports camp every year.  Byron Bible Camp is also a great opportunity for our teens to serve as counselors and serve the younger generations.  They also offer a weekend retreat in the winter for teens!
