Senior Pastor - Aaron Garza

Pastor Aaron is a native Texan raised in San Antonio. He completed his undergraduate at Tabor College in Kansas (B.A.) where he met his wife, Justine. Together, God's call took the Garza's to Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth where Aaron completed several internships/residencies and his master's work (M.Div. & Th.M.). Most recently, he has served as an associate pastor and young adults minister in California while continuing to pursue a Ph.D. in systematic theology and Reformation studies. Aaron came on staff as the 11th senior pastor of Bethesda in August 2022.

Together, Aaron and Justine have two boys, August and Samuel. In his spare time, he enjoys playing disc golf, reading anything on church history or fiction (most recently, the Lord of the Rings!), and is a die-hard Liverpool soccer fan. Aaron’s passion is to be a pastor-theologian who is committed to the expository preaching of God’s Word so that the church would glorify Jesus in sacrificial discipleship. Aaron’s life verse is Mark 8:34, where Jesus says, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

Together, the Lind’s have four beautiful daughters: ConLai, Juliana, Vera, and Amiya. They enjoy camping and boating together as a family. Anthony’s passion in ministry is seeing teens grow in their relationship with God and helping families disciple their kids.
